Hannah - Biography

Performing has always come naturally to Hannah Spearritt, who became a Mothercare catalogue model at the age of three. She may be the smallest S Club member, but she more than makes up for her lack in the height department with her super-confidence, which explains why, by the age of 12 she'd landed a lead role in a local production of Annie, before joining the National Youth Music Theatre.

"I've always wanted to gain as much experience as possible in as many different areas of performing as possible," she explains. Which is why for Hannah life is one non-stop work and socially oriented whirl.

If there's a laugh to be had, Hannah's right there at the front of the queue and she's certainly built up a reputation for herself as S Club's biggest party animal, claiming to have partied full-on for 24 hours having just passed her driving test. And with her mischievous character, it comes as no surprise that Hannah gives as good as she gets as far as the rest of S Club is concerned. "I play fight with the lads all the time," she says. "And I don't care if I get hurt – I'm constantly covered in bruises. I'm not exactly Mike Tyson, but I'll have a good go."

Tough cookie aside, Hannah has a pretty laid back approach to life, and while she appreciates the major success the band have had so far, she would be the last group member to become starry-eyed. "At the end of the day, I'm just doing my job, which is to perform and hopefully make people happy," she smiles. Which explains why she likes to keep herself to herself. "At the end of the day, I don't really want the whole world to know everything about me. I need to leave some things just for myself, now don't I?"
